Tid Bits

Lillian took a look at Jessica monday and asked why she had poka dots all over her face. Jessica had fraxel and has a nice grid pattern on her.

Our kids are finding it difficult to use squatter toilets. Lillian declared she would NOT use that toilet. To my surprise, she did! AND peed all over her shorts. I packed and extra set of clothes just in case and had to use them. Ziplocks are really coming in handy here!

Mikey thinks the toilets here are great. He can pee in any toilet because none of them are too high.

The bathrooms in the houses are really cool. It's all tile. No bath tub with a drain like back home. Here there is a drain in the middle of the floor with a shower head on a hose. You turn on the shower and take a shower in the middle of the bathroom! If you need to, you can close the toilet and sit down. Makes it nice to shave your legs. Plus, the bathroom gets washed every time you shower.

No grocery stores like back home either. There's the fruit market which is a big warehouse with hundreds of people every where. Fruits stands are all the way thru with people calling out what fruits they have and how much it costs. The kids found this place amazing!

Muriel's favorite thing here is going to the super market. She likes to look at the different fish. She saw something that reminded her of electric eels. They looked kinda cute.

We found mink blankets! BIG ones too. All sorts of colors. I think we will be bringing one home for us. The cost isn't bad either.

The stairs going down from the street to Jessica's house is strange. Someone made cut outs in the steps. You have to climb alternating your feet while going up or down the stairs because the half of each step is gone! It's stupid to say the least. If you can't see your feet, you are apt to fall down the steps! The kids are too small to alternate their steps so they have to practically sit down while decending. I'll have to post a picture so everyone will know what I'm talking about.
