Since the teacher is ill, I get to fill in. I taught the youngest students which is interesting. We learned big and little plus small; Vv, Ww, Xx and animals. The children looked at me with that "look"- you teachers know the look. I had them sort thru the animals and classify them as to whether they were big or small. A few animals were confusing for them but they did well.
My kids also started class today. They rode the bus to tae kwan doe. They're the first on and last off. Muriel was a bit unsure and almost velcroed to my hip BUT I told her to give me a kiss and said good bye. They really enjoyed riding the bus. The school staff said Lillian was perfectly behaved, Mikey was "active" which meant ran constantly and wouldn't sit when told and Muriel sometimes joined in and then would go cry against the wall. I had Terry tell them to not worry about. Once she's used to going she will join in and be fine.
The older students played LIFE. We told them I would fine them $5,000 every time they spoke Korean. They must speak English. Mikey joined in the game too. He grabbed one of the cars, filled it with "people" and his dog, Duke, then varoomed all over the board. The kids kept telling him "no touchy" and be careful because he was running over them!
They kids asked the BoBo Monkey brothers (that's their nicknames now because they're real pains in the rear) to show us to the park. Oh, what fun my children had too. We went to the park without sand- the one with sand is bad. The cats potty in it then your kids break out in rashes. And I have to admit the thought of it is just gross! The kids played for awhile then we headed back to the school so we could go home.
We had a very full day. It was nearly 9pm when we got home. The kids ate some food and then off to bed they went. They even stayed in bed!
I woke up this morning to Lillian screaming her head was stuck under my bed! Even Jessica came downstairs to find out what all the yelling was about. Lillian even broke the frame but Terry can pop it back on. It was funny though!
